Meet the Creator
Love & Luca is a hand poured soy candle company established in 2014 in Scranton Pennsylvania.
My name is Carinne (Martini Falzett) and I am the founder of Love and Luca. A self-taught candle maker, I began making candles as gifts for family and friends.
My desire to learn the art of candle making quickly became a passion! Deeply immersed in aromatherapy and its benefits, I began experimenting and developing my own unique fragrances. Since then not much has changed.
Although I now make candles in a dedicated candle studio, I still lovingly pour every single candle myself and use only the purest essential oils and natural fragrances.
Growing up in rural Northeast Pennsylvania fostered a great appreciation for nature and the changing seasons. Inspired by a family of doers, practical and creative endeavors have always been preferable to an office environment!
I earned degrees in business and communications and went on to study skin care and interior design. I proudly bring my very diverse background together in the creation of my line of handcrafted candles.
The goal has always been to create beautifully scented affordable candles in a healthy and eco-friendly way. The aesthetic is modern and simple to complement any decor, mood, event or season!
The name “Luca” is not only my son’s name, but it also means “light”. When choosing a name for my company it only seemed fitting to call it Love and Luca. My hope is that each and every candle brings a little love and light into the lives and homes of all my customers!

The Art of a PERfect Burn
How to get the best results from your Love & Luca Soy Candles
For best results when lighting for the first time, allow the wax to melt to the sides of the jar, ideally for 2-4 hours to allow a full melt pool (liquefied wax on the top layer of a burning candle). This should ensure further consistent burns, avoid tunneling and candle waste. The maximum recommended burn time is 3-4 hours per burn. Always trim wick after each burn by cutting off the burnt end when cool to 1/4″.
